Subject: Guatemala Offering. This design came from a picture downloaded from the internet.

Technique: Finished size is 6 x 8; It was worked on 14 mesh plastic canvas with 3 ply embroidery floss (the six ply floss was split).
My experiment was implementing the smoke with random stitches of several colors close in shade. I feel it worked out well. Backgrounds done in this manner will solve the dye lot problem for floss purchased in bulk.
